Taking those initial steps in the business is often the hard part, especially for women who want to build a career in ICT. Especially for them Orange organised the Young Potential Boostcamp in conjunction with Cypres.
Inspiring programme
With the Young Potential Boostcamp Orange is giving ambitious and promising young women a leg up. It’s an inspiring programme where top managers groom some 50 female final-year students or career starters for a career in the world of ICT.
Experience meets ambition
The Young Potential Boostcamp consists of an introduction and a follow-up programme. Several keynote speeches introduce the female starters to the career opportunities in ICT. They are assigned a mentor who will continue to follow up on them, even after the event. That mentor will act as their sounding board as they take their first steps on the job market.
Speed dating as a conversation starter
As an introduction Cypres organised a speed dating event. In small groups the participants exchanged views on a career in ICT and brainstormed on the current challenges facing the business world. At the end of the day, mentors and young potentials had found their perfect match.
From concept to organisation
Cypres not only developed the Boostcamp principle but also took care of the organisation and communication.
