Cypres scores highly on sustainability

Intensive screening in line with international CSR standards

Bpost uses EcoVadis to evaluate the sustainability performance of its suppliers. EcoVadis is the world’s leading provider of sustainability assessments for businesses, and has reviewed 75,000 companies around the world since 2007. Using a set methodology, EcoVadis examines how well a business has integrated the principles of sustainability and corporate social responsibility (CSR) into its organisation and management system.

The EcoVadis methodology is based on international sustainability standards, including the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), the UN’s Global Compact and ISO 26000. A sustainability scorecard gives an overview of a company’s performance across 21 indicators grouped into four areas:

• environment
• labour and human rights
• ethics
• sustainable procurement

In the latest assessment, Cypres gained a score that puts it among the top 5% of businesses.

Sustainability as a guiding principle

Sustainable enterprise is a daily reality at Cypres. We integrate sustainability into our existing processes and test our performances against KPIs wherever possible. The things we do and make for our clients must be useful, necessary and desired. We help businesses and organisations to invest in sustainable relationships with their stakeholders. During the latest two-yearly sustainability assessment, Cypres was awarded a very high score. We’re proud to learn that we are among the top 5% of all the businesses assessed by EcoVadis. We’re happy that clients ask questions of our sustainability, because it keeps us on our toes.
